Beethoven's 9th Symphony

A couple of my customers at the WW just so happen to play in the Jacksonville Symphony. Since I have been in this store full time for only a couple months now, I never made the connection between a couple. Of course because of their children you rarely see these two in the store together. I got to talking with Ken one day about how a friend of ours was going to their next show and that I really wanted to go one of these days. He was kind enough to offer free tickets to attend since I had not been before, which I did not expect. I graciously accepted of course, who am I to turn down free tickets to anything, and figured this would be our "date night" for the month. Ive been slacking lately and havent come up with and fun things to do.

We get to the Times-Union theatre thing and meet up with Zach... you know, our friend who was already going, and got directed to our seats. I thought man, we probably got decent seats b/c we are friends of the band. Wrong. The usher told us sure go in, it will be up on your right side. By up on your right side she really meant, youre way up in the back corner. Now dont get me wrong, Im surely not complaining. The music was fabulous. Simply amazing how these people can play an instrument so accurately, and intense for 70 minutes straight (that was after intermission). I understand why seats are $40 a piece to start.

We ran into a couple that I do business with of sort (legal wine business) and got to talking for a while after the show letting the crowds disperse. We finally headed home, being wiped out from the entire day.... and got stuck in the parking garage for the next 45 mins. Guess we didnt give people enough time. Word of wisdom, spend the $15 for the arabs with the outside parking as opposed to the $5 garage mayhem.... and go see a symphony.... cool stuff!
