Im really a week late with this post but it's because I didnt have any of the pictures until now. Dont worry, not complaining girls, just saying. Sara and Alicia came up last weekend for a night. They had a wedding kind of in the area so they stopped by Jacksonville on their way home. It was nice to see them both again since its been forever. We had dinner at Bistro Aix and then they went and partied downtown. Foxy got to meet up with us just in time for dinner. By the time dinner was over, it was waaaay past my bedtime. I think it was about 10:30pm or so.
The girls were in for a real shocker with the downtown bar/party crowd. Jacksonville may be on its way to being as large as Orlando and have more murders and all that fun stuff.... but they sure dont party like Orlando does. Most of the places to drink around here are wine bars or really laid back places to get a drink (right up my alley). There might be a couple club/bars that I know of in the whole city. Its a different kind of party, not the kind where you drink until you puke, cant walk anymore, and people just trying to find someone for the night. Most here just want to hang out, not make it a destination for the night. Eventhough Im sure they had fun, it wasnt what they expected. The Landing is a pretty cool place though, right on the water. It was a good choice. Next time, try the beach, they are a bit crazier out there.
Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!

Damn Joel! You make it sound like we're freakin' lushes or something. I just said we were overdressed!
The big trip is almost here. Hope you've worked out your passport issues. Oh and a tip regarding your camera...James and I bought a fancy new camera before we went to Scotland the first time. He totally didn't have the patience to actually learn how to use it, so I was in charge of photos. We didn't realize that this was a bad idea until we were scrolling through the photos at home and discovered that I was hardly in any pics. Make sure sure come home with at least a few photos of Foxy.
